What This Badge Means
The badge is part of CASA’s initiative to raise safety awareness among commercial and recreational drone operators. By pledging to put the safety of others first, we’ve committed to:
- Always flying within the rules and regulations
- Maintaining visual line of sight (VLOS) at all times
- Never flying over people
- Using aeronautical radios where required
- Using trained spotters for high-risk areas
- Strictly following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Night Flight Endorsement
As a CASA-certified operator with a Remote Operator Certificate (ReOC) and night flight approval, AeroLens is authorised to conduct operations safely after dark — a capability that sets us apart in the industry.
This enables us to deliver advanced services such as:
- Thermal inspections at night (when they’re most effective)
- Low-light aerial photography
- Emergency response support during low-visibility conditions
